The fat burning soup diet is an interesting concept. Most diets force dieters to cut back on their food intake and reduce the amount of calories they eat. The fat burning soup diet doesn't. Instead, it allows you to eat as much vegetable soup, though cabbage is seen as best, as you want. The fat burning soup diet was originally thought to have been created by the Sacred Heart Memorial Hospital to help heart patients rapidly lose weight, but no one really knows for sure where it came from. The principle behind it is that even though you might be full after each meal, the amount of calories and fat you're ingesting is very negligible. You're basically just filling your stomach with water and low calorie vegetables. There are some variations on the soups you can make beyond mere cabbage soup, but they all primarily are some form of low calorie vegetable or another. The diet is very specific in what you must eat, and though there are variations of it, the 7 day fat burning soup diet is the best for a variety of reasons. 7 days is more than enough time to cleanse your body of toxins, while at the same time not too long that you risk malnourishment. The fat burning soup diet is essentially like fasting. Even though you're eating all the food you want, you're not getting very many fats or calories and forcing your body to utilize what it already has on hand, namely stored fats.

Fat Burning Soup Diet Recipe

There are many different variations of the fat burning soup diet. These are just the bare bones ingredients. Many people like to add things like seaweed and mushrooms to the soup to add nutrients and flavor. Since you're making the soup, add as many of the vegetables as you can stand to eat. Get your mixture of chicken stock and beef bullion right and then add your cup or two of stewed tomatoes. After that start adding lots of cabbage, green onions, celery, and everything else until you have a good mixture. Let it stew for awhile near boil or at boil for 15 minutes.

The Seven Day Fat Burning Soup Diet

Below are the different steps involved in the 7 day fat burning soup diet. The diet is basically the exact same as a 7 day fruit and vegetable fast. The only difference in this diet is that you feel more full and satisfied because you're able to eat as much warm soup as you like.

The First Day

  • As always, you can eat as much vegetable or cabbage soup as you like. You can eat as much fruit as you like, and you can drink as much water and juice as you like. You can also drink coffee and tea. Day one of the diet is basically identical to the first day of a fruit and vegetable fast.

Day Two:

  • On this day you can still always eat as much cabbage soup as you'd like and you can also eat as many vegetables as you'd like. But on this day you're not supposed to eat any fruit. That's probably because on this day you're supposed to load up on starch with a baked potato for dinner. That'll be your carbohydrates for the day.

Day Three:

  • This day is just back to day one. Eat fruits and vegetables and soup but no potato. Starting to see why the fat burning soup diet is pretty much just a 7 day fruit and vegetable fast?

Day Four:

  • This day is all about a banana cleanse. You're supposed to eat as many bananas as you can, along with lots of water and as much soup as you want. Still just your basic fruit and vegetable fast.

Day Five:

  • This day is different and intriguing. You're actually supposed to eat quite a bit of meat on this day, more specifically about a pound of beef. You're also supposed to eat tomatoes on this day, though you may have been eating them already, and also a lot of fresh water.

Day Six:

  • This day is where the diet begins to integrate you back toward normal food. You can eat meat again and vegetables but you're still supposed to eat your soup at least once.

Day Seven:

  • This day you're supposed to eat brown rice, which is very healthy otherwise for you. You're also supposed to eat vegetables and also fruit juice and your soup.

7 Day Diet -- 7 Day Fast

As I mentioned before, the 7 day fat burning soup diet is essentially like a 7 day fruit and vegetable fast with a few added features thrown in. Fruit and vegetable detox fasts have been used for centuries as a way to cleanse the body, not only of weight, but also of impurities and toxins. Fasting, when done correctly, has been shown to be very beneficial to the body in a number of ways. The reason why this type of fasting isn't promoted very much or labeled as a form of fasting is due to the recent demonization of fasting in general. Fasting has been linked with eating disorders like anorexia, and has been consequently seen as unhealthy for any person as a way to cleanse the body and lose weight.
