Dianabol Side Effects -- Dbol

As far as anabolic steroids go, dianabol side effects aren't as bad as most. That's not a license to start taking them, but a concession that most are worse. Dianabol, also known as DBol, historically is considered to be the second steroid to have been created, after testosterone was first used and experimented with in the early 1900s and after. It's interesting to still hear anabolic steroid use popping up. It seems like steroid use is a thing of the past, dying off after the early 80s. And while the FDA has placed a ban on Dianabol, apparently it's still being widely produced in Mexico and other countries and shipping into the United States. I've heard of a few different people using it in recent days, even for simple muscle gains at the gym, so I thought I'd write an article about it and its side effects.

In order to understand the side effects of Dianabol, it's important to first understand what Dianabol does inside the body. Dianabol is an anabolic steroid, meaning that it mimics the male hormone testosterone in the body. When taken orally, Dianabol must first be processed by the liver, which then sends it into the bloodstream. Slight changes are made to the drug to make it more difficult for the liver to break down, and because of that, oral Dianabol can cause extensive liver damage if taken for a long enough period of time. That's the first major Dianabol side effect.

When injected, the liver is less involved, especially since Dianabol is generally injected directly into muscle tissue in an effort to keep it from entering the bloodstream and going systemic throughout the body. This generally keeps the side effects limited since Dianabol will directly link up to receptors in the muscle tissue and send a signal to grow faster and keep from breaking down.  Why not take a supplement that's not only helpful for building muscles but doesn't come with the range of side effects listed below.  Try something like nitric oxide supplements.

Now that you know how Dianabol is taken and how it interacts with the body, lets take a look at some specific Dianabol side effects. These side effects vary depending on the genetic propensity of individuals and the dose that a person takes. Even a dose as small as 10mg a day can cause noticeable Dianabol side effects.

1. Liver Damage

• Anabolic steroids have been shown to be toxic to the liver.  We talked a little bit about why before this section.  Potential liver damage can be brought about by the alpha alkylated carbon in Dianabol.  Dianabol has been specifically created so that it won't be broken down by the liver and enter the bloodstream active.  This liver damage side effect depends greatly on the dosage and how the Dianabol is taken.  When injected directly into muscle tissue, this side effect is lessened.
  

2. Gynecomastia -- Breast Enlargement

• This condition is often attributed to an imbalance in hormones. Because of the fact that Dianabol mimics testosterone in the body just like all anabolic steroids, it throws the balance of hormones out of normal function known as homeostasis. Not only that but due to excess testosterone levels, the testosterone is converted to estrogen, which then causes an action on the mammary glands, causing them to enlarge. This Dianabol side effect is very difficult to fix, and can generally only be undone through surgery.

3. High Blood Pressure

• Dianabol and other anabolic steroids have been shown to raise blood pressure. People with high blood pressure and on blood pressure medication are expressly warned not to ever consider taking anabolic steroids. The combination can be fatal.

4. Acne

• Dianabol has also been shown to cause acne on the face, chest, back, and shoulders. this is because the sebaceous gland is stimulated from the action of Dianabol converting into Dihydrotestosterone. This side effect will vary depending on a person's propensity toward acne and the dosage of Dianabol.

5. Male Pattern Baldness

• Dianabol has the ability to greatly speed male pattern baldness. This depends greatly on the genetic predisposition of the person in question. This side effect again is due to Dianabol's conversion into Dihydrotestosterone. In addition to this, it's known to science that testosterone and hormone imbalance can have a large effect on hair growth and loss.
  

One of the biggest risks and side effects of Dianabol and other anabolic steroids is endocrine system fluctuation and failure. The endocrine system is a system of glands, each of which secretes a type of hormone to regulate the body. The hormones in the body are in very careful alignment known as homeostasis and ingesting or injecting excess hormones into the body from outside sources can cause homeostasis to be thrown out of balance. The body produces all its own hormones, and getting them artificially isn't something that the body is naturally equipped to handle. If enough steroids are taken, the endocrine system can actually fail altogether, permanently causing homeostasis and hormone production to be out of balance.
