Does Artrosilium Help Treat Arthritis?

A newer drug known as Artrosilium has recently come into the marketplace making claims to go beyond just treating the symptoms of arthritis and actually helping to treat and heal the arthritis itself. Artrosilium is produced by the company Zurich Biopharmacals, and makes the claim to help treat and heal arthritis. I've done a lot of research into drugs that promise to reverse the effects of arthritis and have found most of them to be ineffective, and Artrosilium is among them. The reason why is because in most cases, arthritis is a condition of many years of wear and deterioration to the joints that most often strikes older bodies. Taking a drug or supplement after the fact, once all of the deterioration has taken place isn't generally enough to undo years of deterioration.

The main reason is that most of the "building blocks" of our joints can't simply be consumed and processed by the digestive system and delivered to the joints. Things like Chondroitin and Glucosamine and others don't generally have a high level of bio-availability, meaning that the body isn't able to process them very well. So even though you take the substance, most of it isn't absorbed through the digestive tract. Of course, this varies with each individual person, and some people are able to absorb and utilize more of such substances than others. So at the end of the day, it's definitely not a bad idea to try a product for a few weeks and see if you notice any difference. Different bodies are able to process and absorb different materials better than others, and sometimes what works for one person might not work for another. That's why, for naturally boosting the health of the joints, a lot of people prefer eating anti inflammatory foods and herbs. One product that I really like is the Joint Health Complex that I've linked to just below. It has a bunch of different natural ingredients that help to rebuild the joints, having all of the ingredients for healthy joints at a remarkably cheap price.

Treating arthritis with Artrosilium seems to have mixed results. From my research, I don't personally believe it does what it says, but some people do.

What is Artrosilium?

Artrosilium is a cream that generally comes in a 5 oz tube that has a gel consistency. Though the main ingredient of Artrosilium is water, the interesting ingredient is what they call organic silicon. For many years scientists had been looking for a form of life that was silicon based, because silicon is similar in many ways to carbon. The active ingredient in Artrosilium is what they call organic silica, which they claim to be easily absorbed through the skin and somehow helps to cure arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. That part is somewhat lacking is specific technical information, so it's difficult to tell whether this product is effective or not.

So here's what worries a lot of people. Silicon is a very common substance found all over the surface of the Earth in dirt. If Artrosilium does what it says, then it's a great product. If it doesn't, then you're basically paying a bunch of money just to rub dirt on yourself. So you need to be warned. If you want to try a sample or a few weeks worth of Artrosilium, you're definitely welcomed to, but just know that unless the product does exactly what they say it does, they you're essentially paying for a tube full of dirt and water.

Ordering Artrosilium Online

The main website for Artrosilium online is just Artrosilium.net. You'll see when you go to their website, but I'm personally a little leery of their product simply based upon the look of their website. It's very simple and small, and has the look of a website that someone built quickly in a single day with very little content or pages. Generally, if a person has a product that they really believe in and really want to push, they build a large website around it with lots of information and helpful features to encourage people to try it out. Artrosilium.net, on the other hand, has the look of a website that is content for people to spend the $70 for their three month trial, be dissatisfied with the results, and never come back again. So from that standpoint, I would think that Artrosilium as a product doesn't really stand up to the test of user approval. Sure they have testimonials, but who knows if those are even real or not.

Treating Arthritis

If you have arthritis and want to treat it, one of the best things you can do is to try a wide variety of different treatments. I've written extensively about different arthritis treatment methods, including things like anti inflammatory herbs and Mangosteen juice for arthritis. Since none of these supplements or products has been clinically proven to treat arthritis, and since there are a lot of them, a good idea is to try different compounds and see which ones seem to work better personally for you. Sometimes it might be a combination. But you never know until you try.

Artrosilium is yet another "honest it helps for arthritis" product. Regular slap downs by the Advertising Standards Agency in UK for making claims without proof put it squarely in the file marked "placebo".

Google "artrosilium" - I've written about it a few times on Thinking Is Dangerous. Advertising rebukes, customer complaints, dubious purchasing pages etc etc

Thanks.

Thank you very much for stopping by. It's nice having another testimonial from someone who has studied the issue. Hopefully it does at least some good for those who buy it, and not just as a placebo.

I have mild arthritis in my fingers - mostly from years ago pounding the old fashioned black typewriters as a young secretary. I am OK in warmer weather but after last weekends gardening my right hand in particular was very painful. This lunchtime I was in a friends house who noticed my rubbing my hands. I told her about the arthritis and she passed me a tube of Artro Silium to try. I went on line to check costs etc and found lots of reviews - none very complimentary!!! I am just happy that I checked first and joined Hub Pages yesterday - first place to check in future. Don't think I will bother ordering any. At 63 I am really as fit as a flee with no problems in other joints. I expect my GoGo dancing youth will catch up with the old bones too before long!!

Beatrice, I'm the same way -- been abusing my hands with tough work. There's a lot of arthritis stuff out there. My Dad uses some weird pill called snake bones or something like that to take care of his arthritis. He actually says it works great but it sounds too odd for me. I'm with you, just crossing my fingers hoping the GoGo dancing youth doesn't catch up with me :) Thanks very much for stopping by!

I have Arthritis in my whole body, especially in my fingers. It started when Menopause started at the age of 45! Somebody lent me a D'Adamo Blood Type book and ever since I religously live accordingly! If I eat the "avoids

" (especially dairy) (I am bloodtype 0) I straitaway have pain, especially in my fingers! Otherwise I am painfree! (My husband is type B and we cured his migraines of "60 years" just by avoiding the "avoids!"

Doris, that's very cool. Diet is so key, especially since the Standard American Diet is so full of pro-inflammatory foods. That's awesome that you guys have a diet plan that works that well.

Hi, everybody!

I read the discussion with my hart down - all these contrindications and so on. In Russia we do have a real and safe answer to the Arthritis problem in particular, and an absolutely new concept of health restoration and maintenance as a whole. And You do know a thing about it. It requires a long a reading: http://en.bestlife.su/

I have been taking Artrosilium capsules for 2 months now. I can't take pain meds so I thought I would try an anti-inflamatory. These capsules have reduced the pain to a tolerable level. The cream, however, does nothing.

Esther, that's good to know. Thanks for sharing your experience. Hopefully it will keep other people from spending their money on something that doesn't perform. If you're doing research on anti inflammation and you're interested in reading more, I've done some hubs on foods that reduce inflammation and anti inflammatory herbs.

Friend gave me a tube. Used it on my scaly, sun-damaged legs and what comfort it gave me. Redness disappeared and I can now wear a skirt as my legs have improved their appearance so much. I do not over-use it and leave a time of no use. This is so much better than anything skin specialists have provided me with. Val P

I've not heard a testimony about it being used on the skin. That's really interesting. It's primarily just an arthritis cream. I suppose both are inflammatory conditions. Very cool.

I am extremely sceptical of any of those fantastic healing products. Over the years I have learned my lessons and wasted a lot of money. There simply is no cure or even adequate relief for arthritis. Stop kidding yourself. If there indeed was a substance that would alleviate the pain your doctor would be the first one to recommend and prescribe it for you. The only reliable information on drugs etc. is from the BMJ,the AMJ and the Lancet.

Tom, I agree. Miracle cures don't usually deliver the promised results. Arthritis, if it can be helped by anything at all, can be helped by a pretty strict nutritional diet and that's about it.

My dad is 84 and is sold on/convinced by this product..GEL FORM IN TUBE

He's had rotten luck lately with several operations on knee/eyes/shoulder

He swears it works 4 him..but i wish the big tube he sent 4 wasn't so expensive..COZ I BELIEVE HE'S HAVING A PLACEBO EFFECT

As his son i don't want him wasting his money..but i want him to have hope that he can get back into his bowls & gym..which he stopped coz of months of operations

I'd love to show him this article..but he's depressed & barely hanging on now

i need him to think he's getting better even if it's a placebo effect..4 fear that the alternative is that he'll just give up

Do i show him this article now..or wait till he orders another tube..or not tell him at all

SUGGESTIONS?

Benjimester Hub Author 6 months ago

Hey Harry, sorry to hear about your dad's bad luck with operations. I agree with you. Even if he's experiencing a placebo effect, it's still making him feel better. The mind is pretty powerful, so as long as he's feeling better, that's probably the most important thing. If it's helping him keep his spirits up then that's a great thing. And I'm not fully convinced it doesn't work anyway, so maybe it's doing its job. If it ain't broke, don't fix it :) That's my opinion anyway. The only downfall is the cost. It can get a bit expensive.

I am shocked about all the negative comments. I took the artrosilium capsule and in two weeks time the pain in my feet and ankle left and the swelling went down 50%. This was 2 month ago and don't want to be without. I suffered from arthritis pain since I was 15 and I am 62 now. My question is does it have any side affects?

Dick Smith 3 months ago

I slipped on ice and ruptured 3 discs in my lower back 6 years ago. While recovering from that I fell and bruised my right hip and the arthritis started to take over. I used several pills containing Curcumin and glucosamine and other things to reduce the pain. They worked - - - partly. I still could not lay in a comfortable position to get a good nights sleep. About two months after starting artrosilium I can lay quietly and get 8 or more hours of good sleep almost every night. Sometimes the pain comes back and wakes me up - - but those nights are getting farther and farther apart after 6 months of using artrosilium (and the other pills too). I happened on this sight because I was looking for a site or a phone number to cancel the automatic shipments. I now only use the lotion once or twice a week so the supply I have will last me a looonnng time.

Angela, sorry your comment slipped by without me commenting. With more and more positive experiences like this, I'm starting to think that my original skepticism isn't wholly founded. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for your story Dick. That's good to hear. Like I said in the article, I was just skeptical of the claims of Artrosilium, but I couldn't prove anything. It's nice to know they're living up to what they claim. There have been a lot of positive reports coming. I'll have to revisit this article and give it a better chance.

Here's the Customer Service number 1-800-216-2605. I just received their information and am undecided whether to try it or not. I have been having pain in lower back but treating with chiropractic and ice. It's manageable but I would like relief to be able to play golf!
